Marketing Poster
PETROL, an advertising firm where I interned, has a long-standing partnership with the UFC franchise. As an intern, I worked with several designers to create the main event flyer for UFC 200. Our goal was to create key visuals that expressed each fighter’s intensity in the ring while retaining a modern approach for a sport that continues to dominate the industry.
The Design
This design’s motif was handwritten lettering on the fighter’s face. I was mostly focused on Nate Diaz’s face (fighter on the left of the poster). Unfortunately, the fight was canceled a few weeks after the poster went public, but it was still surreal to know that I was a part of a design from a sport I and a million others watch.
