Discover new local breweries
Locate breweries around your area and be notified when they host events, along with being alerted when new breweries open.
Seek top crafted beers
Our app allows users to view top rated crafted beers from breweries all around the world.
Unlock exclusive avatars
Show off your beer expertise to other users by unlocking exclusive avatars along the way.
Get rewarded for drinking
Easily get rewarded by visiting your favorite local breweries. The more visits, the more offers.

The Challenge
How can I design an app that creates both a helpful and unique experience every time you visit a brewery?
Project Goals
Schedule interviews with users who visit a brewery at least 3-5 times a month.
Create an app that addresses issues for both new and returning users.
Determine some sort of reward for using the app every time the user login.
Find out what the competition lacks & implement the solution to the app.
What I’ve learned from the users.
Here are some important insights I’ve learned from interviewing users who visit a brewery at least 3-5 times a month. Along with these interviews, I also selected a handful of people who don’t often visit breweries to understand why and how we can get them to visit one.
New visitors tend to spend an average of 5-10 minutes figuring out their first drink.
Preliminary Solution: Create a section on the app that allows users to view top rated beers at that same brewery. You’ll be able to sort the type of beers on that same list and read reviews from other users who have had the same drink.
The average craft drinker wants to try a new beer every time they visit.
Preliminary Solution: Have the app alert the user when new beers are on tap from their local breweries. Once they try it, they will be able to accumulate points to unlock an exclusive avatar for their profile. More points will be rewarded to the user if a review is left.
Those who don’t visit breweries often say the drinks are too expensive.
Preliminary Solution: Have local breweries announce upcoming events and special offers straight on the app in order to draw more people in. Offers will have a QR code that allow the employees to scan and mark redeemed. It’s a win-win situation for both the consumer and the business.
Time to design.
With all the research done and prelimiary solutions in mind, I begin drawing sketches and creating low fidelity wireframes. Before going any further, I sought feedback from my classmates when critiques took place. Once finalized, I start designing the application on Adobe XD.
Illustrations and motion graphics were also implemented to enhance and facilitate the user experience throughout the application.
Did it work?
Upon feedback from my classmates and limited user testing on the prototype, it was a winner.
Users who tested the prototype enjoyed the overall aesthetic of the application along with the simplicity of the user interface. A few adjustments were made to the prototype after users encounter minor setbacks while testing.
Solution: I added a feature which allows users or brewery owners to confirm the size and price of any beer that is available. This feature also allows them to upload their own photos for other users to view.
Solution: Give the user an opportunity to showcase all their contribution to the application. This feature will include all the images they uploaded, badges they achieved and the option to add the user as a friend.
