EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) is an annual festival held in Las Vegas that was cancelled in 2020 due mainly to covid. Instead, EDC organized a “virtual rave-a-ton” that year, with DJs performing live on YouTube. Prior to the event, Adobe Creativity Tour collaborated with EDC to promote a contest in which designers could create the official poster for EDC 2020. I went ahead and competed, but unfortunately I didn’t win the grand prize. This was still one of the most enjoyable projects I’ve worked on in a long time, so no hard feelings for not winning.
The Design
For the design, I wanted to give the impression that the festival had taken place in the audience’s living room the moment they tuned in. So I grabbed my camera, dragged my sliblings to the living room and created this masterpiece.

Like I mentioned earlier, I didn’t win the grand price but received plenty of compliments, including one from Pasquale, Founder & CEO of EDC/Insomniac. That’s a win in my heart.
